Creative
Philosophy

I believe creative expression has the power to bring people together.

Every brand, every event, and every project is an opportunity to mold a story that opens doors and connects on a deeper human level.

Over the last decade, I’ve worked alongside global brands and musical artists, translating their identity into visual narratives across broadcast, digital, and live platforms. My work blends immersive design, filmmaking, and human psychology to craft visual experiences that go beyond aesthetics. It’s strategy. It’s storytelling. And when done right, it transforms audiovisual branding into human emotion.

About Me.

Some careers begin with a plan. Mine started as a curious kid from Brownsville, Texas with a backstage pass.

At 14, I was an unofficial intern logging footage on the NBC lot in Burbank, pestering cameramen to take me on video shoots, and sneaking peeks at the Jay Leno set to see who was on that night’s show. I spent summers as a teenager shadowing my aunt, a journalist and producer, as she covered celebrities, athletes, and national stories.

Long before that, I would rarely get to see my aunt unless she was covering a musical artist or athlete in Texas. Those were my favorite times as a kid because they usually meant being behind the scenes at concerts or events. I loved watching the A/V engineers set up, and sometimes they even let me play the drums (or try to) on stage while they tested audio. Once the interviews began, I scurried off and watched closely, absorbing everything I could about media production, storytelling, and cinematography.

At 20, I moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in a New Media program at Video Symphony that was truly ahead of its time. Within two weeks, my aunt dropped me into the deep end. She was producing an independent celebrity wedding special that later sold to Telemundo. She needed me to help the cameramen set up on production day, then turn around and edit the promo reels used to pitch the special to networks. It was fast. It was overwhelming. And it taught me one of the most important lessons I carry with me today: success in creative work is not just about having good ideas. It is about listening, building trust, working as a team, and translating the client’s vision into something real.

But like many stories in this industry, mine did not follow a straight line. I was eager to make a name for myself without my aunt’s help. Even after I graduated with some large productions under my belt, the recession made it nearly impossible to get consistent work. People who had been in the industry for decades were laid off and competing for the same jobs. I had to pivot to something that paid the bills. At 22, I started at the very bottom in a call center at AAA as an Emergency Roadside Service agent. Luckily for me, there was a need for internal creative branding, and I was able to work my way into Employee Communications by my second year. That role gave me the opportunity to lead creative projects for large events, build engagement strategies, and shape internal culture through storytelling.

Today, whether I am designing motion graphics, producing brand videos, or leading creative strategy for events, my approach is rooted in the same values: understand the audience, capture an authentic story, and create something that people will remember long after the lights go out.

Now, as a father, that mission feels even more meaningful. I want to show my son that hard work fuels us, creativity lifts us, and collaboration carries us further than talent ever will.
